M is doing ‘space’ this term at school, in keeping with the excitement surrounding Tim Peake’s recent arrival on the International Space station. Her interest has already been focused on this topic, requesting a telescope for christmas, attending a beginner’s star gazing evening with daddy recently and enjoying a space-themed pyjama birthday party last month! The plasticine was discovered during a tidy up and the girls had great fun playing – M. getting stuck into creating miniature planets.
Played with magnets in the afternoon & M made a moon landing buggy and then drew the moon’s surface for it to land on!
Next step: to recreate all of the planets & look at their place & distance from each other in the solar system. To put up the illumines planets on their bedroom ceiling…
