Saturday 26th March
A very different day to wake to. Grey, cold, wet. Mashalls sensibly stayed over in the sunnier northeast, having returned home last night. Blakehills contingency attempts a 20 miler but ended up being forced to bail by truly nasty conditions (their boots were still wet 3 days on).
After a shop to stock up on provisions, We all went over to Caldbeck to join Granny Anna & Bapa & Elspie for a wet walk up the Howke after a gentle lunch, and followed by more playing and cups of tea. Cousins happily settling into the 24-7 of playing. A day for cosying up with plenty of stories.
