Positives: Feeling more positive and less totally world-weary. Life is a dance to be enjoyed, after all… Had some special mummy time with my incredible, articulate, mature, independent, fiercely free-spirited, generous, thoughtful, helpful, insightful amazing second
Survived: A weekend being descended by family.
Enjoyed: Seeing M enjoy a sparkly sunny day sailing on the Solent. A rare evening out with ‘the other half’, with whom things are understandably frayed by life at the moment.
Appreciated: My wonderful home start volunteer Jackie came this morning, and instead of rushing around trying to get washing put away and things sorted, I did some yoga, for me. And have felt so much better all day. Why haven’t I MADE the time for this more regularly recently, when I have most needed it????? Look after yourself and the rest will come…
Achieved: Had some special mummy time with my incredible, articulate, mature, independent, fiercely free-spirited, generous, thoughtful, helpful, insightful amazing second born.
Aim for the next few days/weeks: To find that time alone with my eldest wonderful, energetic, sparky, quick-witted, kind, positive, articulate, loyal, empathetic, gorgeous girl.
To have more moments to appreciate – rather than feel like I’m in a constant state of juggling with – my cheerful, bonny, happy, easy-going, observant, quick, delightful, funny, loving, special youngest born.
Completed: Duplo cars, dumper trucks and fire engines and a Junior ice cream van with all the trimmings. To yet be constructed: Lego ‘city’ by M. Wish I could keep her off school to do so (reckon she would achieve and gain just as much?!) WE LOVE LEGO!!!!! Many thanks to uncle Martin and Patricia:-) It is the small things in life…
